Room and Board, a Minneapolis-based national retailer specializing in high-quality, American manufactured home furnishings, engaged Kampler Advisory Group as its strategic New York expert in 2013. Kampler partnered with Richard Hodos of CBRE to leverage CBRE’s resources and Hodos’ consultative approach and downtown luxury sensibility. Room and Board requested a market overview study but had no immediate plans to lease a second location. However, when Room and Board toured 249 West 17th Street in Chelsea, this retailer knew that Kampler and Hodos had found them their perfect home. Kampler and Hodos' professional and unified team combined with Room and Board’s nimble, decisive, and focused approach, allowed them to go from site visit to signed lease in 6 weeks for a 60,000 square foot flagship location in New York City.
Charles Company, an LA-based family real estate investment and development company with 7 million square feet of property in California, spent years developing its first outlet center, Gran Plaza Outlets on the Mexican border. Charles Company engaged Kampler to specifically source brand tenants in order to accelerate its opening commitments. Kampler successfully arranged a 25,000 square foot deal for H&M, H&M's first outlet store in the United States. Gran Plaza Outlets opened in November 2013 and H&M is scheduled to open in March 2014.
Hartmann, the luxury travel goods iconic brand, was acquired by Samsonite in 2012. Kampler is currently partnering with Hodos to spearhead their retail roll-out across the United States.
